Valentine’s Day is just a few weeks away. I have compiled a list of my favorite recipes from the blog that would be perfect for creating a handcrafted gift for your special someone (even if that special someone is YOU!). With these recipes, you can still celebrate the day without breaking your healthy eating habits. They are all vegan and refined sugar free. Many of them are gluten free too.
These Sweet Potato Pancakes are my hubby’s fave so this is a perfect way to start celebrating V-day in my house. He loves this caramel sauce more than anything and the pancakes are just a perfect vehicle for devouring it (not that he needs it, I have busted him eating it by the spoonful).
One of my favorite things about Valentine’s Day has always been chocolate dipped strawberries. Most grocery stores carry them during this holiday but not only are they over priced, but they are also made with ingredients that do not fall in line with my diet. Why not skip the line at the stores, save yourself a few bucks, and just make your own Chocolate Ganache Dipped Fruit. Even better, you can make the chocolate dip and spend some time together dipping the fresh fruit and feeding each other for a little added romance 🙂
Perhaps you want to really wow your honey with a delicious gluten free Banana Split Dessert Pizza. This pizza is really fun to make and you I love getting creative with the decorations. Why not use the fruit to spell out your Valentine’s name for some extra brownie points.
Consider making these Chocolate Ganache Tarts as a decadent alternative to buying a box of chocolates for your your Valentine. They taste soooo good and are really easy to prepare. Anytime I serve these, I get tons of compliments on how good they are. You can use heart shaped silicone muffin liners like I did, or to make smaller pieces, consider buying a candy mold.
So there you have it! I hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful Valentine’s Day.
